Nova Singers, led by award-winning conductor Dr. Laura L. Lane, is celebrating its 31st season of bringing the finest choral music to audiences in Galesburg and the Quad Cities. This season includes some wonderful extras, in addition to the superb 21-voice ensemble that the region has come to know and love. Nova opens the season on October 8th and 9th with Peace, an exploration of music written in response to acts of violence. In December enjoy an evening of love, joy and peace with A Nova Christmas featuring many familiar carols in traditional arrangements and a few new ones. February’s concert, Dancing the Mystery, is a unique mix of music and poetry written by Sufi poets Rumi and Hafiz and their message of harmony and understanding.  The season concludes in April with A Cappella Masterworks where an expanded choir of 33 voices will perform two of the greatest works written for a cappel
