Market and Weather Outlook program

Join us for a Market and Weather Outlook program on Tuesday, March 15^th at the Monmouth American Legion located at 1110 N. 11^th St. The cost is $5 per person and includes dinner. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. and the program will begin at 6:45 p.m.

Naomi Blohm of Stewart-Peterson will give a Market Outlook and Mike McClelland of Mobile Weather will give a Weather Outlook. Naomi Blohm is an expert at advising farmers how to manage their cash marketing needs and properly use futures and options. Blohm has been featured on Market to Market and is a contributing author to the Top Farmer Intelligence Report. Blohm will discuss the current outlook for grain and livestock markets ahead of the big March 31 Prospective Plantings Report from the USDA. Learn how outside markets, weather, and various supply and demand scenarios could wildly affect price action this spring and summer.

Mike McClellan has been the Chief Meteorologist at several TV stations across the United States. In 1995, McClellan earned the award for Best Weathercast in the State of Illinois from the Illinois Broadcasters Association. McClellan is the founder of Mobile Weather Team which has provided forecasts, lightning detection and prediction for the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, Men’s European PGA Tour, Ladies European Tour, and many others. McClellan will give a weather outlook for planting, growing, and harvest seasons, provide an El Nino update and its impact on Midwest & International weather, and talk about solar sunspot activity and its effect on our long term weather picture.
