Lark Eden performance

March 23, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The Starry night Repertory Theatre’s next production opens March 23rd at the Old Bailey House in Macomb.  Performances will be at 7:30pm on Friday, March 23rd, and at 2pm and 7:30pml on Saturday, March 24th.

Rebecca Foster Bean is directing this stirring new play by Natalie Symons, which chronicles the friendship of three Southern women over seventy-five years.  It is an epic journey of love and loss, permeated by the fierce endurance of old friendship.  A play told in letters, Lark Eden is at once a deeply moving and darkly comic look at the fingerprints that we unknowingly leave on the hearts of those we love.  Thelma (played by Ann Thomas), Mary (played by Lysa Fox), and Emily (played by Pamela Rands) have been friends since their childhood in the 1930’s.  From their teenage tribulations to their aged reminiscence, the women of Lark Eden will stay with you for a long time to come.

“Friends help us through difficult times by reminding us of our true worth and take the time to celebrate our joys with us,” says Bean.  “In our current culture, as we grow increasingly isolated from each other, Lark Eden reminds us of the transcendent power of true friendship.”

Tickets are $15 for advance purchase on the web, and $18 at the door.  Student tickets are $5 with I.D.  More information is available at the link provided on this page.
