Knox-Galesburg Symphony Young Pianists Competition

Carl Sandburg College and the Knox-Galesburg Symphony work together every year to bring this wonderful event to the area. This year, the adjudicated competition will be held on April 16. Applications are currently closed, but there are still exciting opportunities to participate in!
Then, on Saturday, April 23, 10:00am at the Orpheum Theatre, the winners will perform on the Orpheum’s gorgeous nine-foot Steinway piano, underwritten by Carl Sandburg College. This recital closes out the KGS’ annual Music Mornings series and is a perfect opportunity to inspire kids to pursue music.
Additionally, on Sunday, April 24, at 3:00pm, all winners and honorable mentions will perform in Kresge Recital Hall at Knox College.
Both recitals are open to the public, and we encourage people of all ages to come!
