Knox County Soil and Water Conservation District meeting on Cover Crops

The Knox County Soil and Water Conservation District is hosting a Cover Crop and Soil Health Informational Meeting at the Rio Town Hall Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. The event is open to the public.
Dean Oswald, Cover Crop Specialist with the Zea Mays Foundation, is the featured speaker and a Cover Crop User Panel of local producers and an aerial applicator will be highlighted. Meeting topics include; cover crops benefits, planning and management, soil health and biology, interactive soil health demonstration, and state cost-share opportunity for the Flint-Henderson Watershed.
