45th National Stearman Fly-In

9:00 am: Daily pilot briefing, Stearman Fly-In seminar tent, Galesburg Municipal Airport
9:30 am: Stearman Restorers Association annual meeting, Fly-In seminar tent, Galesburg Municipal Airport. SRA President Ken McCullough, Upland, CA, presiding.
10:30 am – 2:00 pm: Picnic fly-out.
2:30 pm: Briefing for short field take-off, flour bombing and spot landing contests, Fly-In seminar tent.
3:00 pm: Short field take-off, flour bombing and spot landing contests, Galesburg Municipal Airport.
6:00 pm: Beverage wagon opens, Jet Air Hangar, Galesburg Municipal Airport.
7:00 – 8:00 pm: Friday night dinner at Jet Air Hangar, Galesburg Municipal Airport. Catered by Big Catz, Knoxville. Menu: Sliced brisket, potato salad, pasta salad, tossed salad, apple sauce, green beans with onions and bacon, cornbread. Tickets $15. Beverages additional.
Tickets, on sale at the Fly-In office, should be purchased by Thursday, Sept. 8
8:00 pm: “Bird in a Biplane.” British-born pilot Tracey Curtis-Taylor discusses her long-distance flying adventures in a Stearman. Jet Air Hangar, Galesburg Municipal Airport. Open to the public.
Activities continuing throughout the day:
Narrated tram rides along Stearman flight line (weather permitting) – 10:00 am – 6:00 pm – $1 per person
Poker run, fun flying, buddy hops, hangar flying
