Hello, Summer! Music and S’mores
June 6 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Celebrate the start of Summer Reading with a free all-ages concert by the Roe Family Singers. Immediately following the show, join us outside the library for free s’mores around the “campfire,” courtesy of Cornucopia Natural Market and Deli.
Led by wife and husband duo Kim and Quillan Roe, the Roe Family Singers band marries old-time sounds from barn-dances, fiddle pulls, and county fairs with a punk-rock sensibility and delivery. For over 20 years they’ve been mixing their original music with contemporary takes on old-time and traditional tunes into one rolling and rollicking river of fresh yet familiar American music. They’ve won a long list of acclaim and honors, and have shared the stage with Doc Watson, Ralph Stanley, Mike Seeger, Del McCoury, Jesse McReynolds, the Grascals, Jim Kweskin & Geoff Muldaur, Junior Brown, Asleep at the Wheel, and John McEuen & John Carter Cash.
The Roe Family Singers’ appearance was made possible by the Galesburg Public Library Foundation through the generosity of its supporters.
