What do you like to do in your spare time?  I love spending time with my family.  It is so fun to watch our  15 year old son, Jackson play sports, especially soccer.  Evelyn is our 3 year old daughter that is wild like her curls.  She makes us laugh and smile.  My husband is a firefighter for East Moline and stays active playing hockey.  We stay super busy and on the go!

Here’s what Lennox had to say about Angie:

What sets this teacher apart from others?
Mrs. Benson has helped so many kids over the years and this year she has helped me so much. She goes above and beyond by working one on one with us and takes the time to answer questions if we have them. She is always so friendly and positive. She makes everyday a better day! So thankful for her!

What is one thing this teacher does that is not in their job description but they do it anyway to help you or your child?
Mrs. Benson will send home worksheets for me to work on and helps guide me through things I don’t understand. She’s always willing to help even if she has so many other things to do. I love how patient she is with us.

Give an example of a way this teacher has helped or impacted you or your child.
At the beginning of the school year I was not able to read very well at all. Now I am reading a lot better and I am so excited to get better and better. She worked with me so much and has reading assignments she sends home for me to work on. She cares so much for me and all of her other students. Very grateful for her and all she does for us!

Congratulations Angela Benson, May’s KFM Teacher of the Month from Galesburg Nissan, Tompkins State Bank, Cooks-n-Company, Lacky Monuments and 105.3 KFM
