Aledo Rhubarb Fest will be celebrating 30 years in 2022! Mark your calendar for June 3 & 4th, 2022, in beautiful, historic Aledo, Illinois!

Rhubarb Festival is a celebration of all things rhubarb – from pie to ice cream to soda pop. If it’s rhubarb, it’s here! Aledo’s affinity for rhubarb became official when the town of 3,600 was named the “Rhubarb Capital of Illinois” in 2007 by the State of Illinois’ 95th General Assembly House of Representatives.

The festival is easy to find – at the crossroads of Illinois Highways 17 and 94 – at Aledo’s Central Park and the Mercer County Courthouse lawn, and it spills into the streets of historic downtown Aledo.

Since the festival began in 1991, the centerpiece attractions have always been the rhubarb tasting tent and, of course, that famous rhubarb pie! On Friday and Saturday in the tasting tent festival goers may sample a variety of rhubarb treats. Local churches and non-profit organizations will be selling homemade rhubarb pies and other rhubarb baked goods.

Antique, craft and flea market vendors will share their offerings at the Central Park Market both days from 9am-4pm. On Saturday, another 100 art and craft vendors will set up shop at Crafts In the Courtyard featuring their unique wares on the lawn of the beautiful Mercer County Courthouse from 9am-4pm.

Rhubarb Festival admission is always free.

Live on the Aledo Central Park Bandshell Stage During Rhubarb Fest!
*Bring your lawn chair or blanket as there will not be bleacher seating this year.

Greg and Rich – Greg and Rich have been to the Band Shell many times before and are one of our favorites! They play everything from Country, Oldies to Rock N Roll.

The River City 6 Jazz Band – 6 Musicians/Entertainers on 11 different instruments playing virtually EVERY style of great music including: Traditional, N Orleans, Dixieland & Big Band Jazz – Waltz – Cha-cha – Rumba – Tango – Bossa Nova – Polka – Funk – Country – Rock – Comedy & Vocals – We have FUN entertaining EVERYONE of any age.

Moonshine Run -This high energy band brings you your favorite country hits, rock and roll, and all time favorites!

A Rock n’ Roll Tribute Band from Elvis to The Beatles Featuring The Neverly Brothers! Their repertoire consists of early hits by Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Dave Clark Five and many more.

7-9pm – 10 of Soul

Mercer County High School Jazz Band – They are excited to play some jazz standards and maybe even some pop music.

The Woozdads – Acoustic music for the soul! This group has played at noon at Rhubarb Fest for about the past 20 years. A wonderful quartet that plays every genre of music. Great entertainers!

The Tailfins Band – Transport yourself back to the 50s with this great Rock n Roll group. All the classics will be played here and the dance floor is always open!

10 of Soul – This high-energy 11-piece band brings to the stage a dynamic range of classic tunes from the soul, funk, and blues genres, as well as a few funky arrangements of our own!
