Kristen Stewart will play Princess Diana in the drama Spencer, which according to Variety “covers a critical weekend in the early ’90s, when Diana decided her marriage to Prince Charles wasn’t working, and that she needed to veer from a path that put her in line to one day be Queen.” Production is expected to begin early next year.
Michelle Williams and husband Thomas Kail have their first child together, Us Weekly reports. Michelle also has a daughter with the late Heath Ledger.
Bette Midler will star in Coastal Elites, an HBO special about characters from New York and Los Angeles who are coping with politics and the coronavirus pandemic and tell stories of breaking down and breaking through in the summer of 2020. The show, shot under quarantine, is set to premiere in September.

Production on The Bold and the Beautiful has been “paused” after only one day back on set, Variety reports. Filming had restarted on Wednesday in Television City Studios, but now production has been halted to “better accommodate the large volume of testing needed.”
