
Galesburg Firefighters responded to a fire Monday morning that did about $8,000 to a residence on Farnham St.
Crews responded to 1419 S. Farnham at 10:41 with all three stations and 11 personnel on duty.
Upon arrival, a small fire was located on the exterior of the residence, and smoke was coming from the gable end of the roof.
The residence was unoccupied. The fire was confined to the exterior porch and the attic of the home.
Galesburg Fire investigators have classified the cause of the fire to be unintentional.
