  My favorite sport is volleyball!

Here’s what Lexi had to say about Michelle:

What sets this teacher apart from others?
She is very caring teacher. She treats her students with respect. She has an understanding of her students and how they learn, their strengths and weaknesses that a lot of people do not possess. She gets to their level of understanding. She makes sure to teach them in ways they will understand when they are struggling. Cares about their accomplishments. She is an asset to Mable Woolsey. Grateful to have her as a 4th grade teacher.

What is one thing this teacher does that is not in their job description but they do it anyway to help you or your child?
She gives out reading logs when not required to complete to help the child and parent log their reading times. She gives out rewards for their accomplishments and always post pictures on seesaw and shout outs recognizing when a student has sone a great hing.

Give an example of a way this teacher has helped or impacted you or your child:
She does not make her feel bad when she struggles. She attempts to boost her confidence. And gives her alternate ways to learn. And helps her see that it’s OK not to be good in one area bit excel in another and that does not make her any less smart.

As KFM’s Teacher of the Month, Michelle receives the Big Red Apple Award with her name engraved on it along with a $100 gift card and bouquet. Congratulations Michelle Nelson from Galesburg Nissan, Tompkins State Bank, Cooks-n-Company, Lacky Monuments and 105.3 KFM
