22 new COVID-19 cases in Knox County

The Knox County Health Department has announced 22 new cases of Coronavirus Disease, between Friday, August 28, 2020, through Monday, August 31, 2020, bringing the total positive cases to 461. Release of any additional information is prohibited under federal law. Local public health officials are working to identify and actively monitor individuals who were in direct contact with these individuals. Three of the previous cases reported were transferred to their county of residence. New cases include 15 females and 7 males ranging in age from under ten years old to their 70s. The number of individuals currently considered recovered stands at 87% – or 401 of the total 461. 57 cases – or 12% reported are recovering at home, and zero individuals currently hospitalized. There have been three total deaths as of the end of day Monday for Knox County. Remember COVID-19 testing is available at the Knox Community Health Center and is open to anyone, regardless of symptoms or other criteria.
