Knox County health officials on Tuesday announced 63 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the last week, setting a new high for cases in a week, for the 4th week in a row.
Six new cases are confirmed in individuals between the ages of 10 and 20.
In general, new cases reported for Knox County skew younger, with only 8 of the 63 cases reported being in people older than 70.
The recovery rate for the county has improved over the last week from 81% to 85% and currently, only one individual is hospitalized with COVID like symptoms.
The Health Department reminds the public that testing is available at the Health Center on Fremont St. in Galesburg, regardless of symptoms or other criteria.
