McDonough and Fulton Counties announce first confirmed cases of COVID-19

The first cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in McDonough and Fulton counties Friday.

The Illinois Department of Public Health and McDonough County Health Department say the patient there is a male in his 40’s.

Officials in Fulton County have not given an age or gender for that patient.

A post on Graham Health System’s Facebook says that they are in-home quarantine recovering nicely, per their primary care physician.

Public health officials are following CDC protocols and working to identify and monitor those who might have been in contact with the patient.

Health officials are reminding residents to heed the Governor’s stay-at-home order this Easter weekend and as the weather gets warmer.
