After TMZ reported that Harvey Weinstein was getting “special treatment” in jail, the disgraced mogul got two new cellmates. The gossip blog said on Friday that the convict was “being kept isolated and under watch 24 hours a day” with an entire floor at the Rikers Island infirmary all to himself. Prison officials were allegedly concerned about him hurting himself. But on Sunday TMZ reported that Weinstein was in a cell with two other prisoners and that he fell and hit his head. No word on his condition.
The movie producer was transferred to the infirmary on Thursday after undergoing a heart procedure at Bellevue Hospital, where he stayed for about a week following his conviction. His sentencing is set for Wednesday. He faces 29 years in prison.
