Some States Cut Parallel Parking From Driving Test

More than a dozen states have cut parallel parking from the drivers exam. Because it’s too hard and causing many to fail the test. Instead, many states require drivers to only pull in and back out of a parking spot.  Some DMVs say they cut the maneuver from the test because it was causing many students to fail,, and since they all want to take the test again, it was causing a backlog of testing at the DMV.
Those who support removing parallel parking say it’s not a maneuver that drivers need to perform very often, and technology in newer cars has made it easier to do it. Critics think the DMV is dumbing down the test and making it too easier for bad drivers to get a license
