Farmington Central District 265 was the latest today in an unfortunate trend as they dealt with a threat that put the school on lockdown. Superintendent Dr. Zac Chatterton sent an email to parents, staff and stakeholders saying a “threatening statement” was found in high school restroom at 8:40 a.m. with parents being notified within an hour.
He explains 265 then went into lockdown procedure.
The students responsible were identified using student reports and video surveillance, and the lockdown was lifted.
Chatterton expresses confidence that the threat no longer exists and expresses thanks to Farmington Police, administration, staff, students and parents.
He also says District 265 will hold some “debriefing activities” to make sure protocols were followed and procedures are functional.
