Galesburg Police are investigating another motor vehicle theft in Galesburg.
According to a report, officers were dispatched to the 1000-block of Jefferson Street at around 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday where a 32-year-old man told police that as he was getting ready to leave for the morning he noticed his car was missing.
He told officers that he last saw his dark gray 2012 Dodge Charger in his driveway at around 8:00 the night before.
The victim also told police that he found a side door to his garage was open, and inside the light was on.
He said he accidentally left the key fob for his car on his workbench in the garage and the suspect must have discovered it worked for the car. Inside the car, he said were some work clothes, various tools including some power tools and wood clamps.
GPD is investigating, but at the time of the report, there were no suspects.
