Warren County jail suspending operations due to staffing shortage

The Warren County Jail is closing today, suspending all operations while those incarcerated at the jail will be transported to the Mercer County Jail.That’s according to a press release sent Wednesday afternoon from Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards.

He says they are “suspending jail operations due to a manning shortage.”

The short release ends by saying a time to resume operations cannot be established at this time.

The Mercer County Jail is in Aledo.
