The District 202 Board of education will get a budget update at their first meeting of the new year.
Superintendent Steve Wilder will present the mid-year budget update during his monthly report to the school board.
In addition the board could approve the 2018-19 school calendar tonight, which would see the next school year begin on August 15th.
The board could also approve the abatement of a General Obligation Bond that is on file with the Knox County Clerk for collection in 2018.
According to Board documents, the levy on file with the Knox County Clerk’s office as of October 11th was $528,207.50 .
The agenda also indicates that the board will approving several policy updates.
The Knoxville school board will meet in the district offices at 6:00 p.m.
