Knox donors raise $13 million in 2015

Knox College announced today that donors set a new fundraising record this year for the school, bringing in $13 million between the 2015-2016 fiscal year.

The total is $200,000 more than last year’s goal and school officials say it’s the second year in a row donations set a new overall fundraising record.

The increase is credited to a challenge campaign, which asked 1,000 more donors to give than last year.

In a news release, Knox Vice President for Advancement Beverly Holmes says the school is “excited by the generosity and momentum” of donors.

The funds will be used for a number of projects, the majority of which will go toward priorities and facility projects. Those projects include money for George Davis Hall, the Whitcomb Art Building and other campus facilities.

In total, 9,015 donors contributed to Knox this year.
