Free Showing of “Food Evolution”

The Knox County and Warren-Henderson Farm Bureaus are co-sponsoring a showing of the acclaimed documentary “Food Evolution” on Sunday, March 11th at 2:00 p.m. at the Orpheum Theater in Galesburg; doors open at 1:30 p.m. The showing is open to the public and there is no cost to attend.
The documentary travels from Hawaiian papaya groves, to banana farms in Uganda, to the cornfields of Iowa. “Food Evolution” wrestles with the emotions and the evidence driving one of the most heated arguments of our time. “Using the controversy over genetically-modified foods as its entry point, ‘Food Evolution’ shows how easily fear and misinformation can overwhelm objective, evidence-based analysis” is one of the quotes regarding the film.
