Uncle Billy’s Bakery owner says “no longer in business”

Uncle Billy’s Bakery appears to be closing after a Sunday Facebook page from owner Rachel Brown says she will “no longer be in business.”

This comes a little under a year after Brown took over the business from Maury and Susan Lyon, who still own Cornucopia.

Brown was an Uncle Billy’s employee before owning it, and even worked their for a stint in high school.

WGIL has reached out to Brown to clarify if the bakery would be closing or if it was merely being sold.

The post does say taking care of her “health and livelihood” are factors in the decision.

She ends by expressing gratitude for her patrons saying, “I can’t tell you all how much I appreciate all your support.”
