IHSA releases 2018 high school football schedule

With school just a month away, the 2018 high school football schedule has now been released.

The Illinois High School Association unveiled the upcoming football schedule recently, which will surely bring out the school spirit in fans.

The Silver Streaks, behind first year head coach Mick Washabaugh, will be taking the show on the road in week one where they’ll face Dunlap.

Conference play will be getting under way in week four, when Rock Island will host Galesburg followed by a week five home stand against Quincy.

Wrapping up the season with a pair of home games, the Streaks will host the Alleman Pioneers in Week eight, and in the final: the Granite City Warriors.

In the area: the Knoxville Blue Bullets will open the season on the road against he Mercer County Golden Eagles, and wrapping things up against Farmington.

Abingdon-Avon starts the year against Bushnell-Prairie City/West Prairie, while United hosts Rushville-Industry, and Monmouth-Roseville takes on Rockridge.
