Revolving loan application to be considered at tomorrow’s city council meeting

A revolving loan could be accepted tomorrow night by the Galesburg City Council to assist with the yet to be open Koreana Restaurant. The revolving loan would be worth $20,000 for the new South Korean restaurant, which is located on East Main Street. The loan will help the business complete leasehold improvements, including the installation of a grease interceptor and an exhaust hood with fire suppression system. In addition to the city’s loan, First Mid_Illinois Bank and Trust has agreed to provide a $80,000 loan and a $15,000 line of credit for Koreana.

The city council could also approve a contract with Jeff Cervantez of JC Studios to operate the city’s audio-video equipment during council meetings. The meetings are streamed live via the city website, and archived for public access.
