Vintage autos, and tens of thousands of people coming to the Maple City today

An estimated 25-thousand people will make their way to Monmouth for one of the region’s largest car shows.

Cruise Night in Monmouth is expecting a few thousand vintage cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles to line main street in the Maple City.

Last year nearly 2,000 classic vehicles were showcased at the cruise.

Kenny Tatman, one of the cruise’s organizers told WGIL that this year they’re expecting people from around the nation, “We’ve got a club coming from St. Louis – a Camero club. I know there’s one from Texas. We have people coming from as far away as Pennsylvania.”

The family event is free for everyone, and there are plenty of giveaways including tee-shirts and door prizes. There will be a 50-50 drawing, live music, and food vendors on site.

Like in years past, 92-point-7 FM the Laser will be broadcasting live from Monmouth all afternoon and evening
