Orpheum Theatre Gala is bringing back the “Old West”

Cowboys, bandits, saloon girls, wanted posters, and live entertainment will take over the Galesburg Orpheum Theatre on Saturday, August 5th for this summer’s Gala: Magnificent Seventeen. Orpheum Theatre Operations Manager Erin Glasnovich says the theatre “will feature a Deadwood Saloon, live entertainment both on the stage and in the lobby.” A Western Swing band, Midwestern Swing, will take over the stage and an upright piano, local performers, and audience interaction will take over both the crowd and the lobby. Local restaurants will serve chuckwagon cuisine and snacks from the Old West, and like last year’s 1920s themed gala, guests are encouraged to dawn western attire as well. Tickets are $60 per person and Outlaw Tickets for those who cannot attend, but still wish to donate to the fundraiser are $45, with VIP Boxes available also.
