Discussion of Brian’s Song and Friendship: One Book One Community Festival Program

The congregations of the First Christian Church and Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ invite you to join them for a discussion of Brian’s Song and friendship on Tuesday, February 28th from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at the First Christian Church. A meet and greet with refreshments will begin at 6:30 PM followed by discussion at 7:00 PM. While reading the book or seeing the film before attending may enhance your experience, it is not required. All are welcome and we hope to see you there!

This program is part of the Shared Community Action Group’s One Book One Community Festival! The 2023 theme is Friendship and the books chosen for it are: The Color of Friendship by Adrienne Graham for young children, I Will Always Write Back by Caitlin Alifirenka & Martin Ganda for middle schoolers and above, and Brian’s Song, a screenplay by William Blinn for teens and adults.

Events planned for the festival are a mix of conversations, concerts, and interactive explorations of friendship.
