Galesburg man arrested for meth manufacturing

Galesburg Police arrested a man early Friday morning on charges of meth possession and production.19 year old Brycen Joseph McFadden of Galesburg was pulled over by officers for a defective exhaust system after leaving a garage where Galesburg Police had gotten previous information that meth manufacturing was taking place.

A free-air sniff by a K-9 Unit led officers to search the vehicle where they located several items consistent with meth manufacturing including instant cold packs, coffee filters, plastic tubing.

Police reports say authorities contacted the garage’s owner who gave consent to conduct a search.

Officers found in the garage where McFadden said he was living, several pieces of drug paraphernalia and what appeared to meth manufacturing trash.

McFadden was transported to the Knox County Jail where he remains on $100,000 bond.
