105.3 KFM along with Nissan of Galesburg congratulate February’s KFM Teacher of the Month — Joanna Sieczka — an 8th grade Band instructor at Galesburg Jr/Sr High School. was nominated by Mystic Lucas. As KFM’s teacher of the Month, Joanna receives the Big Red Apple Award with her name engraved on it from Lacky Monuments along with a $100 gift card from Tompkins State Bank and a bouquet from Cooks-N-Company. Here’s what Mystic had to say about Joanna:
Ms. Sieczka is an amazing band teacher who goes above and beyond to make sure her students succeed. She provides personalized feedback on our performances, helping us identify areas for improvement while also celebrating our strengths. For instance, she organizes extra practice sessions after school, allowing us to learn more skills and build confidence before concerts. Additionally, Ms. Sieczka incorporates engaging lessons on music theory, making hard concepts easier to understand, which has significantly boosted my grades. Her encouragement during rehearsals and her willingness to answer questions, no matter how small, create a supportive environment that motivates me to strive for an A+.
