Here’s what Abby had to say about Gretchen:

What sets this teacher apart from others?
This teacher is super understanding when a student doesn’t understand our work and is always ready to help. She’s very student-focused and super inspiring.

What is one thing this teacher does that is not in their job description but they do it anyway to help you or your child?
Mrs. Gilbert goes above and beyond with finding different ways for us to understand different things we learn. She always finds a way to make the learning more interactive and fun, by showing us models and different things that show how and why things happen.

Give an example of a way this teacher has helped or impacted you or your child.
Mrs. Gilbert has taught me things like Pun-it squares, The difference between phenotype and genotype, kinetic energy and many other things. She’s not only helped me have a better understanding in science but she’s a great stem teacher too. Overall She’s made a huge impact on my learning experiences in science.

Once again, congratulations Gretchen Gilbert for being named March’s KFM Teacher of the Month from Galesburg Nissan, Tompkins State Bank, Cooks & Company, Lacky Monuments and 1o5.3 KFM
