The Discovery Depot Children’s Museum has a popular fundraising event on Thursday, December 5th. The 20th Annual Festival of Trees returns to the regional attraction with doors opening at 5:00 pm. The evening will include several raffles, a live and silent auction and more. “We have everything from meals – all of our local restaurants…all our local pizza places all donate,” said Executive Director Denise Bradburn. “We have whiskey tasting and bourbon tasting. We have wine tastings. We have trips: St. Louis, Chicago, North Carolina, Arizona, Indianapolis (and) Florida. Of course, we have the designer purses. We also have sports memorabilia. So if you’re looking for gifts, this is the place to be.” The Depot also has several pieces of Christmas decor to purchase: from fully-decorated trees to wreaths, swags, and lanterns. Tickets for December 5th’s adults-only event are $30 in advance and can be purchased at Discovery Depot. Tickets are $35 at the door. Complimentary food and drink are included in your ticket.
