Galesburg Community Foundation Announces Turnout grant recipients

As part of Community Foundation Month activities, Galesburg Community Foundation announced the local nonprofit organizations receiving grant awards through their annual grant cycle. The Community Foundation makes giving easy and believes that generosity can positively change Knox and Warren Counties forever. The GCF partners with individuals, families, businesses, and non-profits to help them have the greatest impact with their giving. The grant cycle, known as The Turnout, was able to fully fund 77% of the proposals received.
Director of Grants & Programs Tiffany Springer said, “The Turnout aims to empower our local non-profits to tell their stories of impact and ask specifically for what they need to make their important work happen.” Executive Director Josh Gibb told WGIL: “Really what we’re trying to do is allow people’s gifts today to be that perpetual income stream for the things they care about into the future. You’re not investing to, you know, try to earn X percent on any one given transaction. We’re investing for this long-term perpetual-forever-timeline back to things like the arts, education, (and) healthcare.” Through The Turnout, 43 non-profits serving Knox and Warren Counties will receive full funding.
