15-year sentence in meth delivery case

A 15-year sentence in the Illinois Department of Corrections has been handed down in Knox County Circuit Court in a Galesburg man’s meth delivery case.

As part of a plea deal, 29-year-old Kaleb E. Holzheuser pleaded guilty to two methamphetamine delivery charges, both being Class X felonies, Thursday in front of Judge Paul Mangieri.

He was arrested on August 9th, following an incident in which an officer was nearly struck by a vehicle he was Holzheuser was driving and police firing several rounds at the vehicle. 

He was credited for 63 days served in the Knox County Jail. Representing Holzheuser was Sherry Lawson-Weaver while Assistant State’s Attorney Brian L. Kerr was prosecuting.
