Transfer agreement announced for Sandburg students moving to Illinois College

Carl Sandburg and Illinois colleges are forming an agreement to simplify transfers from the Sandburg to the four-year school.

The agreement ensures Sandburg graduates with an Associate in Arts or Science would be able to earn a bachelor’s degree in most majors within two years at Illinois College.

In a Sandburg news release, the school says students participating in the agreement will have access to an Illinois College staff member to discuss their intended program. Students would be required to maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5 at Sandburg.

Sandburg president Dr. Lori Sundberg says the agreement “lets students know exactly the path they’ll need to be able to finish their undergraduate degree.”

The community college has made similar agreements with other four-year schools, including Illinois State University, Knox and Monmouth colleges and University of Illinois at Urbana -Champaign.
