Most Anticipated Movies for 2016

Star Wars owned the box office in 2015, and the franchise may do the same this year. The Star Wars spinoff Rogue One is the most anticipated movie of 2016, according to a survey by Fandango. That movie, which stars Felicity Jones, follows the mission of the rebel spies who stole the plans for the Death Star before the start of the original 1977 Star Wars. Rogue One hits theaters December 16th. Finding Dory (June 17th), the sequel to Finding Nemo, is the second most anticipated movie of 2016, followed by Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (March 25th), Untitled Next Bourne Chapter (July 29th), Captain America: Civil War (May 6th), Star Trek Beyond (July 22nd), Independence Day: Resurgence (June 24th), X-Men: Apocalypse (May 27th), Zoolander 2 (February 12th) and The Jungle Book (April 15th).
