Here’s what Jacob had to say about Gretchen:

What sets this teacher apart from others? She is always open to helping everyone, she spends most of her day at school helping students who need it. If she can’t help you solve the problem, she finds other ways to get you that needed help. She is also a friend, she gives great advice and is there is support you at any time.

What is one thing this teacher does that is not in their job description but they do it anyway to help you or your child? She is like your mom at school! If you ever need anything you always know that you can go to Mrs. Anderson for her help; no matter homework, social, or personal problems she is there to help you. Along with that, she is so passionate about being a teacher and shaping our world; a quality all teachers should have. For the countless hours she has put into helping students, she deserves this award.

Give an example of a way this teacher has helped or impacted you or your child. She got me interested in pursuing math as a Freshman. I always liked Math, but I wasn’t passionate about math (which is something that is hard to do!). Now I pursue challenging math courses and I want to become an engineer. Lastly, she supported the idea of creating a state qualifying 4-H Robotics Team at our high school. Without Mrs. Anderson, many students at Knoxville High School would be lost.

Congratulations Gretchen for being named November’s KFM Teacher of the Month from Galesburg Nissan, Tompkins State Bank, Lacky Monuments, Cooks & Company and 105.3 KFM!
