Brand new entertainment, fan favorites, and even kids events are coming to this week’s Knox County Fair

Popular and classic carnival rides and games including nightly live music entertainment are featured throughout the week for this year’s fair; and fewer, but higher-quality food vendors will also be featured.
Grand Stand events like, tonight’s truck and tractor pull at 6:30pm, and tomorrow’s stock car races at 6:30pm are back.

Friday’s fan favorite demo derby is returning, but this year’s new and most interesting event is the Kids’ Power Wheels Demo Derby on Friday, and the Power Wheels Figure Eight Races on Saturday.

Fair board member Darcy Thorpe said that after some interesting and entertaining YouTube videos of Power Wheels events, they decided to bring it to this year’s lineup.

“Kids can come out and demo their power wheels,” Thorp says. “A few people said this would be fun to bring and why not, we’ll try it. So they’re doing the demo kid power wheels and Saturday night they’re doing to do kid figure 8 power wheels,”

Families with age-appropriate kids with power wheels and of course safety gear, that wish to enter the contest are encouraged to do so.
