Bishop Hill Volunteer Fair

April 10, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Individuals searching for volunteer opportunities in Bishop Hill can learn about what its organizations have to offer by attending a Volunteer Fair on Saturday, April 10 at the Bishop Hill Museum.
Representatives from the Bishop Hill Arts Council, Bishop Hill Heritage Association, Bishop Hill Old Settlers’ Association, Bishop Hill State Historic Site, and Henry County Museum will be onsite to answer questions and provide information on volunteering with their respective organizations. Volunteers are needed for such activities as assisting with events, cooking, demonstrating historic crafts, greeting visitors, historic interpretation, and maintenance, among many other tasks. Assistance is especially needed during this year’s 175th anniversary celebration of Bishop Hill’s founding. Individuals of all ages are encouraged to come learn more about each organization and its service opportunities without any obligation to join them.

The Bishop Hill Museum at 304 S. Bishop Hill Road will host the Volunteer Fair from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. on April 10. No registration or appointment is required for the event. All participants and attendees must follow all public health directives including wearing required face masks/face coverings during the event.
