Here’s what Carli had to say about Traci:

What sets this teacher apart from others?
She’s constantly looking for new opportunities of any sort at our small school. If she sees a problem in the school system, she won’t rest until she can get it figured out with the admin. She’s always looking into new technologies and teaching strategies, and she tries to find ways to introduce more classes and clubs. Her mind has about a million ideas going at a time. One thing that everyone really loves about her though is how much she cares about the kids individually. She always offers to help and to speak up for kids who believe there’s a problem with something within the school. She wants everyone to have a voice and she makes it a priority to have a relationship with every kid so they don’t feel alone.

What is one thing this teacher does that is not in their job description but they do it anyway to help you or your child?
She speaks on behalf of the kids, she listens, and she tries to resolve any problem presented to her.

Give an example of a way this teacher has helped or impacted you or your child.
She’s helped me open my mind to a lot of things. She started as my English teacher, but she’s so much more than that now. I can go to her about anything and I know that she’ll help me. Just recently, I talked with her about my scheduling for senior classes because I was really struggling with putting them together, but she told me about some of the new things they’re introducing and she gave me her opinion on some of the things I was on the fence about, she really helped me get things figured out. She’s just always looking to help anyone she can.

Congratulations Traci Johnson March’s KFM Teacher of the Month from Galesburg Nissan, Tompkins State Bank, Lacky Monuments, Cooks & Company, and 105.3 KFM.
