Here’s what Hayleigh had to say about Jennifer:

What sets this teacher apart from others?
Throughout the pandemic I have watched her adapt time after time. She, like many other teachers, has been pushed to her limits at times, but constantly perseveres. She has gone above and beyond for her students and has put in more hours than she should, just to make sure that her students receive the education that they deserve. Mrs. Miller truly cares about each and every one of her students’ well being and it shows in all that she does. Mrs. Miller is also an exemplary role model to her fellow peers, as she was a team leader for her department when schools turned to remote learning.

What is one thing this teacher does that is not in their job description but they do it anyway to help you or your child?
Mrs. Miller is at work before she is needed and works on lessons in the evenings and weekends. She not only makes sure that her students are receiving a quality education, but also shows that she cares about their well being during this trying time. She has brought it upon herself to learn new technological skills so that she can bring more to her students than the basic work books and videos that others do. She shares with her students amazing tools to interact with art in museums and other outlets.

Give an example of a way this teacher has helped or impacted you.
I have witnessed time and time again the amazing bonds that she shares with her students and the excitement that her students express when they come to her class each day. I have also witnessed the commitment that she has to her job. She goes above and beyond her job expectations and duties. She spends hours upon hours learning new technology and techniques so that she can teach her students in the best way possible.

Congratulations Jennifer Miller, December’s KFM Teacher of the Month from Galesburg Nissan, Tompkins State Bank, Lacky Monuments, Cooks & Company, and 105.3 KFM.
