August 27th around 11:30 pm, Galesburg police were patrolling the area of South Seminary and E. Berrien Streets when they observed a vehicle fail to signal before making a turn. After conducting a traffic stop, officers made contact with the driver, front-seat passenger, and rear passenger. After initially giving officers a false name, according to police reports, the back seat passenger then identified himself as 43-year old Bradley Davis of Galesburg. Dispatch notified officers that Davis had both a Knox County Warrant and a Henderson County Warrant and was then placed under arrest.
While conducting a search of Davis, officers located a hypodermic syringe cap in his pocket. Davis admitted to having syringes in a bag in the car. Officers located the syringes – one of which was loaded with what field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Davis was then transported to the Knox County Jail and charged with Possession of Meth less than 5 grams, the Knox County Warrant, and the Henderson County Warrant – each with a $50,000 bond.
