“Live from The Orpheum Theatre” gets underway Friday

The Orpheum Theatre in Galesburg is starting a new program to help bring “live” entertainment from the Orpheum featuring local music artists and acts. “Live from The Orpheum Theatre” will be in addition to the current lineup of the Orpheum’s online content.

The program will be broadcast in real-time on the theatre’s Youtube channel.

Video’s on the theatre’s Youtube channel has given viewers and patrons an inside look of all the aspects of The Orpheum.

Friday, June 12th, “Live from The Orpheum Theatre” will feature local favorite Corie Weisenberger – better known as “Cow”. Cow is a multi-instrumentalist and singer. He’s been featured as a solo act, and a member of several bands which include: The Memphis Dives, Frank F. Sidney’s Western Bandit Volunteers, and Dance Hall Doves.

Cow’s musical style ranges from gritty bluegrass to musing folk-country tunes.  June 12th, Cow will play a variety of originals and familiar favorites.  The concert will live stream at 7:30 pm and a suggested ticket purchase of $8.00 is requested to support the series and the performing artist.

While patrons will not be able to take their seats in the theatre itself, purchasing a ticket and tuning in to the concert will congregate an online audience that will hopefully bring the vibrancy and ambiance of The Orpheum Theatre into the comfort of home.
