Stark County District 100 has hired its next Superintendent.
Brett Elliot was approved by the Stark County Board of Education at their meeting Monday night.
Elliot replaces Nick Sutton, who is taking a position as superintendent of a new district in the Chicago area.
Elliot is currently serving as Principal of Peoria Richwoods High School and has spent 25 years in public education, all in the Peoria area.
A release from District 100 says Elliott completed his undergraduate degree at Eureka College, his Master’s in Educational Leadership at Bradley University, and earned his superintendent certification from Western Illinois University in 2017.
He plans to complete his doctorate in 2021.
