Small Businesses and Non-Profits urged to submit information regarding Coronavirus Economic Injury

State Representative Norine Hammond is urging small businesses and non-profits to submit information to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity concerning how the COVID-19 outbreak has negatively impacted their business. In a news release, Hammond said that there is relief available. She said, “If small businesses and non-profits in our district would like to apply for economic injury loans from the Small Business Association, they must first submit information to DCEO. Completing the questionnaire is straightforward and vital towards Illinois receiving an economic injury disaster declaration, which would allow the loans to be distributed to those eligible.” Information submitted to DCEO will be compiled in a report to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in evaluating Illinois’ request for an economic injury disaster declaration. Information obtained from this form will only be used to assist in requesting an economic injury disaster declaration from SBA and identifying the greatest areas of need.
