Two Galva men arrested with large amount of methamphetamine

Two Galva men were arrested on methamphetamine charges in western Illinois after a joint effort between several departments.

According to the Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation, 56-year-old Goerge W. Price and 47-year-old Clair E. Whiteside were arrested on March 11 after a traffic stop on US 34 in Henderson County.

Both men are facing a Class X Felony charge of Methamphetamine Possession between 100-400 grams.

The two are being lodged in the Henderson County Jail on $250,000 bond.

The release from ISP says the arrests were the result of multi-agency investigation conducted by the ISP DCI, West Central Illinois Task Force, Blackhawk Task Force, Quad City Metropolitan Enforcement Group, Monmouth Police Department, Henderson County Sheriff’s Department, and the Burlington, Iowa Police Department.
