A road just south of Abingdon is closed after a drainage structure collapsed this week.
Knox County Engineer Duane Ratermann tells WGIL says his department his working with Indian Point Township Highway Commissioner Barry Bradshaw on a plan to replace it.
Ratermann says Bradshaw discovered the drainage structure was falling last week and closed the road.
The rain on Tuesday caused the rest of the structure to collapse.
The road is 450 N that stretches about a half-mile west off of Illinois Route 41.
The Knox County Board will likely discuss costs associated with replacing the structure soon.
