State Representative Dan Swanson hosted a Galesburg High School student as an Honorary Page in the Illinois House on Tuesday, March 3rd.GHS Senior Annika Spring sat in with the Republican Swanson at the House. Annika is active in the Student Council and FFA welding. She is also active in Knox County 4H where she focuses on livestock showing and judging cattle, swine, and sheep. Annika plans to attend Carl Sandburg College in the fall where she plans on getting a welding certificate before attending nursing school. In a statement released by Swanson, he said, “Annika represented her family and community well and made a great impression on my colleagues in the Illinois House. Many were keenly interested in asking her how she got involved with welding. She earned many fans during her time with us.”
