Galesburg police were called out to bizarre theft complaint this weekend.
According to a Galesburg police report, officers were dispatched to Galesburg Nissan on Sunday evening at around 6:42 for a reported theft from a motor vehicle.
Once on scene, officers spoke with a woman who told them she had parked her vehicle at the dealership for a couple of days while she drove a rental.
She told officers she returned to find something missing from her vehicle. She said that the driver’s side passenger door does not lock and the removable mid-row seat was missing.
Officers advised that valuables should not be left inside of a vehicle if that vehicle’s doors do not lock.
No arrests have been made.
